Online entry fees
Adults £17.00, Under 16’s £5.00 and over 65’s £10.00
There is a reduction of £2 for anyone affiliated to Uk Athletics or TRA.
Entry limited to 300, no entries on the day.

Parking:
On arrival at Kirkby Malham turn right (opposite Victoria Pub), sign posted “Hanlith”. After 50 metres, turn left into “Event parking” field.

Registration:
From 07.00am at Kirkby Malham Parish Hall, registration closes at 08.30am

Race Numbers:
Race Numbers & Si Cards - Will be issued on the day. Race numbers must be worn on the chest, not cut down and be visible to Marshals.

Start times:
22 mile at 08.45am and 9 mile at 09.00am

Event Briefing:
Any last minute changes to the route will be announced at a briefing, approx. 5 minutes before the start of each event. All entrants are kindly requested to ensure that they are present at the appropriate times.

Course way marking.
The course is waymarked with flags.

Check points:
There are a total of 6 manned checkpoints on the route.

Crossing a Highway in Malham
There will be a Marshal at Chapel Gate Road to assist with crossing the road. Please follow the highway code when approaching the road.

Refreshments
Hot food and drinks will be available at the finish in Kirkby Malham. Water and Bananas or similar energy food will be available at checkpoint 3. Water will be available at checkpoint 2, 4 & 5.

TERRAIN
22 mile: The route is undulating (hilly!) with 3011 feet of ascent incorporating a mix of hard-packed rocky trails, boggy sections, limestone rocks and grassy tracks. If running ideally fell running or trail running shoes are essential.
This year's course will not pass through Gordale Scar but will take the alternative route up the left hand side of scar.

Please be aware that the 22 mile course has a time limit of 8 hours, please refer to "Route Maps" tab for checkpoint cut off times.

9 mile: The route is undulating (hilly!) with 1100 feet of ascent incorporating a mix of hard-packed rocky trails, boggy sections, limestone rocks, woodland singletrack and grassy tracks. If running ideally fell running or trail running shoes are essential.

ACCESS
Landowners have kindly given permission for the routes to cross their land on the day of the event only. This restricted permission in no way constitutes agreement to any right of way.

RULES
Any person under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during participation of the course.
Dogs are allowed on the 9 mile course only and must be kept on a lead. Not allowed on the 22 mile course.
No liability is accepted by the organisers for injury, damage or loss sustained by any entrant before, during or after the event, as already stipulated within the terms and conditions of Si Entries online application.

Compulsory Equipment 22 mile
• First aid kit to include: blister plasters / sterile pad dressing / bandage or tape to secure dressing as a minimum requirement.
• Waterproof jacket (waterproof or windproof pants are also recommended)
• Mobile phone *fully charged
• Whistle
• Hat and gloves
• Emergency foil blanket or bivi bag
• Emergency food & drink

Compulsory Equipment 9 mile
